Fightlite SCR First Impressions At 300m
At The Range

21m
Formerly the ARES SCR and now the Fightlite SCR, this rifle is an AR-15 system modified to work with a FAL or Remington 1100 type mainspring housed in the butt. Without the muzzle thread it's 50-state legal in the US, and looks like... well any semiauto hunting rifle in this configuration. It'll accept any AR-15 upper, but requires use of a special bolt carrier since there's no buffer tube and it needs to use a rat's tail to cooperate with the mainspring.
Scope is a Primary Arms SLx1 micro prism.

Schmeisser SP-15 Straight-Pull AR-15 ...

Musket Speed Challenge
The gentlemen of the Kentucky Victorian Riflemen instigated a 5 round speed loading challenge this year and invited Chappy to participate. He of course stepped up with a French rifled musket in a manly calibre!

Chappy's tools and skills have come along a long way since his first attempt at reviving the chonky 18mm rimfire case and cartridge. Time to give it another shot. Will he succeed of will they blow up in his face?
