Please support us at: https://www.patreon.com/capandball This 1861 Navy revolver barrel exploded because a chamber was loaded without powder (ou the powder failed to ignite), and the second chamber was fired on the bullet stuck midway in the bore. The shooter was using 3 Fg Swiss powder and a full load. Thanks to the safe Colt design and the good material of the repro no one was injured. This little tester was made by Palmetto Italy (not in business anymore). It's quite accurate, but limit the load to cca. half of the maximum, as the full load of finer grade blackpowders (3Fg, 4Fg) are too much for the system.
