In today’s video we examine a 1903 Springfield Armory rifle. The gun was first issued in 1918. Likely stored for a bit after WW1 and then issued to the US Navy. The rifle eventually ended up on the USS California, which was sunk by the Japanese. This gun was then salvaged from the ship and issued to the US Marine Corp to be used in the defense of the Hawaiian Islands. It later was deactivated and then reactivated for a collector.
