The roller-lock design traces back to the famous MG42, and then the Spanish CETME in the 1950's. The HK G3 was most famously the base rifle for the Swedish Ak 4D Sniper/DMR rifle. It was also the base rifle for the GSG9's PSG-1, which boasted a factory acceptance of 1MOA at 300m. P.S. it's also the "Auto-Sniper" from Counterstrike.
