The MkVIII was a collaborative effort between the US, UK and France. With the UK providing the armour plate and guns while the US provided the engine and automotive parts. The tanks were to be assembled at a factory in France - all in time for the planned offensives of 1919. In this contemporary footage we see a MkVIII showing off what it can do during a demonstration outside Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 1918. We have a full episode on the MkVIII detailing its history and development here - https://youtu.be/Z_LQvl_f8_0 You can check out the accompanying article for this video here - http://armourersbench.com/2020/04/12/mkviii-international-heavy-tank If you enjoyed the video please consider supporting our work via Patreon, TAB is a viewer supported, non-monetised channel and any help is very much appreciated!
