Last weekend at the We Have Ways podcast's history festival the Airborne Assault Museum brought along a very interesting piece of history - a PIAT with Arnhem provenance. The PIAT (Projector, Infantry, Anti-Tank) had allegedly been dropped during Operation Market Garden but not used. At some point after the battle it was discovered by locals and handed into the Doorwerth Museum, west of Oosterbeek, and was subsequently gifted the the Airborne Assault Museum in the 1950s. The PIAT is in great shape, albeit deactivated, and it was a pleasure to take a look at a weapon which could be traced back to the battle. Thank you to Ramsay, Ben and Allen of the Airborne Assault Museum for allowing me to examine and film the PIAT, check out the museum's website here - https://www.paradata.org.uk/ If you'd like a 'Bring Up the PIAT' shirt - you can order at https://www.historicalfirearms.info/shop Be sure to check out our accompanying article for this video here - https://armourersbench.com/ If you enjoy our work please consider supporting us via Patreon, TAB is a viewer supported channel and any help is very much appreciated! The STEN in the Rhineland
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of filming some segments on small arms for the new documentary on the Rhineland Campaign – ‘Rhineland 45‘. Not all of the segments I filmed discussing weapons could be included in the finished documentary – I filmed quite a few – so I’m pleased to share a coup...

A Walk Around the Cody Firearms Museum
Last summer I had the chance to visit the newly renovated Cody Firearms Museum. With the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic I thought now was a good time to finish my walk-around video taking a look at the new museum. Check out our accompanying blog for more photos of the museum - https://armourersbenc...

Kabrit Commando Knife
In this video we take a look at an interesting Commando knife variant seen at the Combined Training Centre at Kabrit in Egypt in 1943. The knife isn’t the classic Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife often seen in the hands of Second World War Commandos. Instead it appears to be an old SMLE bayonet ada...
