NGSW: The US Army's First Suppressed Service Rifle & Some History
7m 12s
The US Army recently selected SIG Sauer's submission to the US Army's Next Generation Squad Weapons program. One interesting aspect of the programs is that the new rifle, the XM5 [now renamed XM7!], will be the US Army's first suppressed service rifle. However, this isn't the first time the US Army has examined suppressors. In this video we look at the US Army's first exploration of suppressors a century ago and examine what we know about the SIG Sauer-designed NGSW suppressors.
