This episode is simply to show what a repeater brings to the field especially in a situation where rapide fire may be necessary, whether the incoming horde makes a breakthrough or you're charging an enemy position. The advantage is only clear as long as you have ammo in your mag but with 12 (or 13) in there and with the possibility of topping off, it's quite a remarkable force multiplier at a time when most countries were getting to grips with the idea of single shot breechloading rifles.
